The local Walmart, Target, Publix and Albertons bags are of the 9.7 ounce variety, not this huge gigantic bag. So this is in essence, two of those bags for this price. Pretty even I would think. I love this stuff and it for all things that need sweetening. I put it in coffee, a little in my high fiber cereal, sometimes in high protein smoothies, sometimes to sweeten my green tea, and just about anything else I can make that needs extra sweetness. The granulated form extends sucralose's uses to encompass all those in which sugar can be used. I have baked with it a couple of times, with good results; and it is especially convenient that it is formulated to substitute for sugar cup for cup, teaspoon for teaspoon. This obviously means that you prefer sugar in a sugar bowl rather than packets, you can use this just as you would regular sugar.The sucralose molecule is rather similar to that of actual sugar, which may account for the similarity of taste; but unlike sugar it contains virtually zero calories (note that "zero calories" does not mean "no calories," but rather an amount less than 1 calorie per serving.
