Haribo Gummi Candy Gold-Bears, 5-Pound Bag

Product Description

Haribo Gummy Gold Bears Candy is soft, chewy and translucent. And they are bursting with beary yummy flavor. There is nothing quite as whimsically delicious as gummy bears, a candy popular the world over for its sprightly personality and fruity taste. Squeeze them, line them up and make them dance, or just plain eat them. Haribo Gold-Bears are a mixed delight of white/pineapple, green/strawberry, yellow/lemon, orange/orange, and red/raspberry gummy bears.

  • One 5-pound bag containing approximately 485 pieces
  • Naturally flavored with balanced sweetness
  • Mouth watering, colorful candy
  • Flavors are pineapple (white), strawberry (green), lemon (yellow), orange (orange), and raspberry (red)

The first time I encountered Haribo Gummi Bears was when I went to Germany for a semester overseas. I won a bag of these as a classroom prize.

At first, I thought these were going to be ordinary gummy bears, but, boy was I wrong. These candies truly are a step above all other gummy bears. In Germany, this is THE brand of gummy bears. Competitors' bags are sold at much lower prices, but few people buy them - and that's because the difference in quality and taste is noticeable. The other people's reviews regarding sweetness and softness are accurate. Haribo has found the perfect combination.

During the rest of my stay in Germany, I became a huge consumer of Haribo candies. Haribo sells other gummy candies, but their "Gold Bears" are the best.

When I returned to beautiful America, I was disappointed to find that Haribo is not so easy to acquire. They are sold online at other stores at decent prices but after shipping, the cost was quite steep... Read more

5.0 out of 5 stars The Perfect Bears, August 17, 2006
By
This review is from: Haribo Gummi Candy Gold-Bears, 5-Pound Bag (Grocery)
Haribo's Gold Bears are the best gummy bears I've ever had, and I've had a LOT of different gummy bears.

A lot of brands are way too sweet and way too soft - they're almost like slightly firmer Jello, but Haribo's are just right. Not too sweet, not mushy-soft. Just right. The perfect bears.

Haribo's flavors are yummy, mellow, and not so sickeningly sweet as cheap-o brands. The crappy super-sweet bears are so sweet that my teeth feel funny after I chew them (like they're instantly rotting from the excess sugar), and they give me a stomachache.

Haribo Gold Bears! The perfect bears!

5.0 out of 5 stars Nice little treat for the kids--and yourself, October 8, 2006

These gummis are by far the best; the taste is tart and sweet, and the consistency is yes, gummy but not sticky. The bears resist the teeth with a pleasant rubbery consistency. And the outside is lightly dusted to prevent sticking together--however, they will melt with high temperatures in the Texas summer. They are nice mixed in trail mix for hiking, by the way.

A five pound bag is a lot, but if you pack a few every day in the kids' lunch bags, they will disappear. They are great for teaching counting, too. Or getting things done. Put a bowl of gummis out and an empty bowl next to it. When one task is done, put a gummi in the empty bowl. At the end of your list, eat the gummis. Yummi.

5.0 out of 5 stars A Hard-To-Find Treat, November 22, 2006
By
This review is from: Pop-Tarts, (Not Frosted) Brown Sugar Cinnamon, 8-Count Tarts (Pack of 12) (Grocery)
As a kid, I grew up eating unfrosted brown sugar cinnamon Pop Tarts and I still love them to this day. They are almost impossible to find on store shelves because it seems people only want the overly sweet frosted varieties. I snatch these up whenever I can find them.

5.0 out of 5 stars Hard to Find Pop-Tarts!, January 18, 2007
This review is from: Pop-Tarts, (Not Frosted) Brown Sugar Cinnamon, 8-Count Tarts (Pack of 12) (Grocery)
Believe it or not, I bought a case of unfrosted brown sugar cinnamon pop tarts as a Christmas gift! I couldn't find these in ANY grocery store in my area, so I was thrilled to see I could order these from Amazon grocery. There was a glitch with my order; instead of getting a whole case I only received one box. In a panic, I emailed customer service, and within a few days I had the other 11 boxes. The recipient of this gift was so happy! (she's not in to the frosted pop tarts). Thanks Amazon!

5.0 out of 5 stars Heaven in a box, January 9, 2011
This review is from: Pop-Tarts, (Not Frosted) Brown Sugar Cinnamon, 8-Count Tarts (Pack of 12) (Grocery)
I love, love, love unfrosted brown sugar cinnamon pop tarts. It has to the be unfrosted. I can't stand that
hard, crusty frosting on all their other flavors. It's the only flavor I will buy, and I could eat it everyday.
Unfortunately, finding a store who still carries it is becoming more and more like searching for the Holy Grail.
The last Wal-Mart in my city just stopped carrying them, and I almost cried. Scotts and Kroger discontinued them
long ago.
What's up with you people? Bring it back! I would drive 20 miles out of my way to find it. Now it looks like
I'll be ordering it strictly online from now on. Very bad marketing, Kellogs!
